The Presbytery of
Yukon is a governing body of the Synod of Alaska-Northwest, Presbyterian Church
(USA) under the authority of Scripture, the guidance of the Book of Confessions,
and the direction of the Book of Order.
|

|
|
We are a diverse
people called by God to be one in Christ, led by the Holy Spirit and Scripture
into new ministries and mission, to live before the world as a community of
faith, to share the Christian Gospel, and to fulfill the commission of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who died and rose for all and who will come again. |

Mission

To
deepen and enrich the spiritual lives of our people. |

2. |
To support pastors, lay preachers and other
pastoral leaders physically, emotionally, and spiritually. |
|
3. |
To support continuous spiritual and pastoral
leadership in each congregation. |
|
4. |
To support congregations in making
disciples for Christ through reaching people and drawing them into the life
of the Church, and involving them in ministry. |
|
5. |
To assist congregations in encouraging and
preparing all church members to exercise the service to which God has called them. |
